POS design & presentation

Retail has its own language – module, shelf meter, secondary placement, promotional space. Anyone who does not speak it negotiates in the dark. We explain to manufacturers how stationary retail really works and design the presentation of their products at the point of sale.

What it is about

Many manufacturers understand their product precisely – but not the rules by which it is placed in retail. What is a module in food retail or DIY? How is shelf logic set up in furniture stores and specialty retail? When does a secondary placement pay off, when not?

We translate these rules and design the presentation so that it works in retail – from shelf module to display concept.

What we take on

  • Explanation of the rules.

How do modules, block placement and secondary placement work in food retail, DIY, furniture and discount?

  • Shelf logic & assortment set-up.

How is an assortment built at the POS so it sells through?

  • Display concepts.

From tray to displays to secondary placement – concept and execution.

  • Packaging as a POS factor.

    Shelf- and logistics-ready, cleanly printed.

Frequently asked questions

What is a module?

In retail, a module refers to the smallest standardized unit on the shelf – usually a shelf meter or a defined shelf section. How many facings a product receives, what height, what position, what block formation: all this is decided within this module, and it is often more important for sell-through than the purchase price.

Which retail channels do you work with?

Food retail, cash & carry, DIY hardware stores, furniture retail, discount, non-food, general and specialty retail as well as mail order and online retail. The rules differ per channel – we know them.

Do you also design displays yourselves?

Yes, in cooperation with our network. From idea through construction to execution.
