This is a translation of our German privacy policy for orientation. The German version is legally binding.

2. General information on data processing

We generally process personal data of our visitors only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Legal bases are Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract or pre-contractual measures) and (f) (legitimate interest).

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany). Personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the host. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) has been concluded with the host.

4. Server log files

When the website is accessed, the host automatically collects information in server log files: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in the technically flawless presentation and security of the website.

5. Contact

If you contact us by email or phone, the information provided is stored for handling your inquiry and for follow-up questions. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as the inquiry relates to the initiation of a contractual relationship, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Consent, cookies and analytics

On your first visit to this website you receive a notice allowing you to decide about the use of analytics services. Without your explicit consent no analytics or marketing services are loaded, no corresponding cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google. Technically necessary functions are unaffected.

Your decision is stored locally in your browser only (local storage, key uc-consent-v1) so that the notice does not reappear on every page view. This storage is required to implement your choice; legal basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.

7. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Tag Manager is a tool for managing website tags and does not itself collect personal data. It serves to trigger and control other services – in particular Google Analytics.

Google Tag Manager is only loaded after your consent. When loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Google; a transfer to the USA cannot be excluded. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR) serves as the basis for the transfer. We additionally use Google Consent Mode. This signals your consent status to Google services; as long as no consent has been given, the default state is set to "denied".

8. Google Analytics

If you have consented, we use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to evaluate the use of this website – such as pages viewed, time spent, approximate geographic origin and device used. This evaluation is carried out in aggregated form; we draw no conclusions about individual persons.

The IP address is processed by Google in truncated form (IP anonymization). The retention period of the collected data is limited to the period defined in the Google settings. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data: right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21). You may revoke any consent given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; competent authority is the North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
